FCC recommends sanctions against Comcast

Evidently Comcast has pissed off enough people by throttling their bandwidth when downloading peer-to-peer files that the FCC Chairman has actually listened. Now I wouldn't place a bet on anything coming of this, though if nothing else it might make Comcast knock off some of their throttling antics. Check out the story here.

Since I use peer-to-peer for legitimate patch downloads for Lord of the Rings Online and I pay a crapload of money to Comcast, I think it's pretty shitty of them to hamper my download speed, especially since I don't do it all that often. We'll see what happens.
