Holiday blues? Not so much
Usually I am fairly depressed between Samhain and St. Patrick's Day. The holidays are usually a high stress reminder that I'm alone so I go repeatedly into funks.
This year has been different. My life really hasn't changed, I'm still alone, and while this holiday season hasn't been as stressful as the past, it's still working at a major retailer during Xmas time. But I haven't been getting all mopey and down like I normally do.
Maybe going on five years without a girlfriend I'm finally getting used to it. Maybe I'm not dwelling on the crap that gets me down from the past. I don't know, though I kind of wish I did, that way I could remind myself as my big 4 0 draws near.
